Following assessment by RefSeq Communications. RSCOM-684

XB-GENE-29093427 (Gene Symbol: LOC116407834; Gene Name: transmembrane protein 198) is associated with GeneID 116407834, which is the ortholog of human GeneID 130612, TMEM198. This is supported by synteny.

X. tropicalis gene symbol changed from LOC116407834 to tmem198.

This also meant that nomenlcature for XB-GENE-5751426 (which previously held Gene Symbol: tmem198; Gene Name: transmembrane protein 198) was was updated to tmem198l. XB-GENE-5751426 on XB-GENEPAGE-5751425, as well as X.laevis genes GeneID:108708571 and GeneID :447551 have been assigned tmem198l.L and tmemb198l.S respectively, as an interim measure, and the orthologs for the true tmem198 have been removed from XB-GENEPAGE-5751425.
