There 3 gene pages in Xenbase with tnikl 'traf2 and NCK-interacting protein kinase-like gene models represented, and 1 with tnik, which synteny supports as teh true orthologs of human TNIK.

1) XB-GENEPAGE-29078838: this page has 3 x v10 models all on chr6/6L/6S, called tnikl, traf2 and NCK-interacting protein kinase-like. These genes will not be given a new symbol, but renamed gene 1, and the synonym added as tnikl.1.

2) XB-GENEPAGE-29096010, LOC116410327, traf2 and NCK-interacting protein kinase-like on chr 4 with only a Xtrop v10 model

3) XB-GENEPAGE-940101, also called tnikl GeneID:100492522 with a v9.1 and v7.1 gene model.

NCBI says GeneID:100492522 is not in v10 assembly, but BLAST of its seq against v10 X. trop assembly identifies LOC116410327 in v10, also on chr 4, as a strong hit, a gene called "traf2 and NCK-interacting protein kinase-like" on XB-GENEPAGE-29096010:

ACTIONs: I will merge these 2 gene pages XB-GENEPAGE-29096010 and XB-GENEPAGE-940101, call them all 'tnikl.2'.

XB-GENEPAGE-940101 can then be deleted as an empty page.

4) note that XB-GENEPAGE-480066 represents true tnik genes, with all v10 modelss, all on chr5/5L/S.
