08SEPT2025== Xenopus gen name was updated from LOC100492187, DNA (cytosine-5)-methyltransferase 3A to dnmt3al , DNA (cytosine-5)-methyltransferase 3A like based on orthology analysis. Synteny is difficult as it is surrounded by the everchanging olfactory receptor genes, which dont really confer any phyligeney /orthology information usually. But the protein does match the DNMT3A & 3B OGs in EggNog.
