Xenopus Gene Name and symbol was changed from LOC100495827, alpha-2-macroglobulin to a2ml3b.3, alpha-2-macroglobulin like 3b gene 3 following phylogenetic analysis of the vertebrate ovostatin and A2M protein/gene family by Xenbase and the HGNC.

LOC619594 is recorded as a synonym.
