Xenopus gene name and symbol were changed from XB5748694 , provisional ortholog of CDC42 effector protein 4 to cdc42ep5l, CDC42 effector protein 5 like folowing synteny and sequence based orthology preduiction (DIOPT).

18MAY2026

Xenopus gene name and symbol were changed from cdc42ep4l, CDC42 effector protein 4 like to cdc42ep5, CDC42 effector protein 5.

[Why this wasn't already changed- not sure, but change from 03AUG2025 wasn't implemented/saved on gene page.]
