Synteny and nomenclature changes for Xenopus glul and glull genes
15JUN2025
Note that there are 2 different 'glutamate-ammonia ligase' genes in Xenopus.
XB-GENEPAGE-5923224 glull, glutamate-ammonia ligase like, are found on Chromsome 8 in the following conserved gene pattern. LACK of Synteny with human mouse chick and/or rat necessitate that these gene names/symbols, previously annotated as glul , be changed to like status.

XB-GENEPAGE-990052 TRUE GLUL orthologs , named glul, glutamate-ammonia ligase are found on Chromosome 4. This is supported by synteny. These glul gene previously had the like status.
