Human name has changed for Entrez Gene: 6571. From solute carrier family 18 (vesicular monoamine transporter), member 2 to solute carrier family 18 member A2.

Xenopus gene symbol and name changed names from slc18a2, solute carrier family 18 member A2, to scl18a1.2, solute carrier family 18 member A1 gene 2, prompted by orthology calls from NCBI and supported DIOPT and synteny analysis.

Note that X.tropicalis has 8 copies of 'slc18a1' genes (scl18a1 through slc18a1.8) on Chr3.

X. laevis similary has 10 copies of slc18a1 on Chr3L, and a further 6 copies (including a pseudogene) on Chr3S.

Note that true 'slc18a2' genes are found on Chr7/7L/7S in Xenopus.
