nomenclature changes

09.02.2021

On review by Xenbase curators (CJZ), the tandem duplication of cyp4b1 genes in Xenopus tropicalis and X. laevis have been assigned names with sequential numerical suffixes, following nomenclature guidelines.

Notes:

-All genes are on Chromosome 4/4.L and are in the same order left to right.

-X.laevis.S chromosome lacks all 6 copies of the cyp4b1 genes.

Gene name for cyp4b1 changed from cytochrome P450, family 4, subfamily B, polypeptide 1 from to cytochrome P450 family 4 subfamily B member 1.

Gene name for cyp4b1.2 did not need updating. See XB-GENEPAGE-963386.

Gene name changed from XB980013 [provisional:cyp4b1] to cyp4b1.3, cytochrome P450 family 4 subfamily B member 1 gene 3 See XB-GENEPAGE-980013.

Gene name changed from LOC108714294, cytochrome P450 4B1 to cyp4b1.4, cytochrome P450 family 4 subfamily B member 1 gene 4. Note that this gene did not have a gene page, and a new gene page was created. see XB-GENEPAGE-23659627.

Gene name changed from XB5810926 [provisional:cyp4b1] to cyp4b1.5, cytochrome P450 family 4 subfamily B member 1 gene 5 . See XB-GENEPAGE-5810926
