On 10/15/2012, Xenopus gdi genes ''gdi1'' and ''gdi2'' were renamed to ''gdi2'' and ''gdi1'', respectively. This change reflects the correct naming when compared to their human homologs. This homology was based on synteny matching and has been confirmed by the HGNC. Future publications should use these new names and symbols when referring to these genes. | |||

This is the community wiki page for the gene gdi1 please feel free to add any information that is relevant to this gene that is not already captured elsewhere in Xenbase
On 10/15/2012, Xenopus gdi genes gdi1 and gdi2 were renamed to gdi2 and gdi1, respectively. This change reflects the correct naming when compared to their human homologs. This homology was based on synteny matching and has been confirmed by the HGNC. Future publications should use these new names and symbols when referring to these genes.
