notes on pituitary homeobox 3/3-like gene family
There are 100's of genes in vertebrates in this gene family, all called pituitary homeobox 3 or 3-like yet none have a satisfactory gene symbol ( nearly all LOC#s) .
XB curators will suggest pitux3 and pitux3l to NCBI RefSeq team.
