Following review by RefSeQ and Xenbase, the nomenclature for GeneID 100495335 (XB-GENE-1009625, nt5c1b) and GeneID: 394700 (XB-GENE-952062, nt5c1a)has changed. Synteny compared to human suggests that the gene symbols needed to be swapped.

Based on Synteny with human, Chr 5/5L genes are nt5clb/.L, and chr2 genes are nt5c1a/.L

Despite above notes from Feb2025, these genes awere still incorrectly named on Xenbase.

nt5c1a, 5'-nucleotidase, cytosolic IA and nt5c1b, 5'-nucleotidase, cytosolic IB were mis-annoatated in v10 assembly. Synteny supports the chr2/2L genes as NT5C1A orthologs and the chr5/5L genes as the true NT5C1B orthologs. Gene pages have been renamed, to keep identifiers/#s stable, and orthologs have been moved to the other reciprocal page.
