Xenopus Gene Name and symbol was changed from a2ml1.3, alpha-2-macroglobulin-like protein 1 gene 3 to a2ml3b.5, alpha-2-macroglobulin like 3b gene 5 following phylogenetic analysis of the vertebrate ovostatin and A2M protein/gene family by Xenbase and the HGNC.
