The protein encoded by this gene is very large. The first quarter of protion matches the homology groups of PTPRJ, ptprb, ptprh, ptpro and ptprq.the protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor genes. The 2nd half of the protein matches TNN, tenascin N and TNXB, tenascin XB.

We are updating the gene name from titin to tnl, tenascin-like. Further analysis will be required to classify it properly.
