'Xenopus gene name was updated, changing from XB5727110, provisional ortholog of potassium two pore domain channel subfamily K member 16 to kcnk16l, potassium two pore domain channel subfamily K member 16 like.

Note that synteny supports the true orthologs of KCNK16 to be on Xenopus chromosomes Chr5/ Chr5L, immediately adjacent to kcnk17.
