13OCT2025 Xenopus root gene name & symbol was changed from XB995277 and LOC100487633 to adamtsl5, following review.

These are the true orthologs of human ADMATSL5, on Chromosome 1/1L, and are flanked by plk5 and pcsk4, thus sharing synteny with human, chick and mouse. NB There is a another ADAMTS like 5 loci called adamtsl5b on Chromosome 3/3L/3S., represented on XB-GENEPAGE-5867326.
