Xenopus gene name changed from eif5a, eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A to eif5a 2, eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A2 following orthology assertions by NCBI and Xenbase. This change is supported by synteny and BLASTp.

Xenopus may not have a true EIF5A ortholog.
