Nomenclature changes

30SEPT2024

Xenopus gene symbol changed from kraasl to kras.

Xenopus gene name changed from Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog like to KRAS proto-oncogene, GTPase following human, and NCBI orthology assertion, that these are the true KRAS orthologs on chr3/3L3S. This change is supported by conserved synteny across many vertebrate taxa.

The similar kras genes ( previously called 'kras') but now called kris-like are on chr7/7L/7S. To keep all model in the same place in 4th db, we have simply renamed the gene pages, and left all models and other meta data/accessions etc in place!
