To resolve a symbol clash, this gene page has been renamed abcb1l.2, as the protein is very much like the true abcb1 genes (on chr6, supported by synteny) and to distinguish it from the other abacb1l genes on chr7.

Note that the protein it codes for is also very similar to abcb5 genes according to homology groups for vertebrates as assessed by EggNog5.0.
