based on synteny analysis this gene name has been changed from XB5841026 [provisional], novel protein similar to cornifelin to cnfn.3, cornifelin, gene 3

Note the orthology is a many:1 relationship Xenopus:human


Note that the left-right order for numbering the cnfn genes was not strictly followed to mainatain stable identifiers for gene models from earlier genome annotations (i.e. cnfn.1 and cnfn.2)
