04.04.2018 The human Entrez Gene: 57653 was removed as being an ortholog, based on synteny and protein trees. The Mouse Entrez Gene 74152 was added. The symbol was changed to stra6l.1 and the name was changed to STRA6-like, gene 1, based on the mouse symbol.

Note: In the X. laevis L locus, there is a second, tandem duplication of the gene, hence the .1 and .2 designations.
